December Experience

Wayward Creative designed and developed a retro-inspired interactive experience to promote Neck Deep’s single, “December.” Drawing from classic 8-bit aesthetics, the experience features the skateboarding alien from the band’s music video, guided by fans through a snow-filled world of obstacles and collectibles.

The world is packed with subtle nods to Neck Deep’s catalog, with artwork and collectibles inspired by songs and lyrics throughout their discography. To deepen fan engagement, the experience included custom integrations with Spotify and Apple Music, allowing fans to sign in using their streaming profiles. Upon entry, the site pre-saved the December release, followed the artist, and unlocked a custom audio player that streamed the track as the soundtrack, uniting interaction and music in a single, immersive promotional moment.
